The Gazette: Photographer is a cowgirl at heart

Nadine is featured in both the Montgomery County and Frederick County Gazettes, in an article entitled "Photographer is a cowgirl at heart". An excerpt from the article: Her business. Photography by Nadine, has taken her to photo shoots out West where she'll spend several days on ranches.

"For me, it's got to be real and it's got to be right," she said.

One of her favorite photographs, and one that she said helped her realize that she has a knack for photography, is a piece she calls "Looking Out."

The photograph captures a moment between two children looking out a window at a ranch in Colorado. The adults were getting ready for dinner and VerStandig, who always carries her camera, saw the two children at the window.

"The room is sort of dark, but you can see outside is very light. You can see the kids a little bit more than a silhouette," she said. "The little girl is talking with the little boy."

The Frederick News - Post: The world through the lens of Nadine VerStandig

Nadine's story and her wild west shots were featured in the Arts section of The Frederick News - Post. An archive version of the western photography article is available online, but we've posted the print version here as well - it's just that good. Other pictures, such as Nadine's now famous horses at the pond image, entitled, "Cooling Off" can be seen on the online version.

Nadine's first Book is Out! "The 21st Century Cowboy"

Nadine's first book, "The 21st Century Cowboy: A Photographic Look at Cowboys Over the Last 100 Years", will be available for early purchase on her ecommerce site starting October 10. The first 100 copies will be personally signed by the artist.

Nadine's Western Photography Featured in "New York Style" Magazine

Nadine to present at the Ohio Quarter Horse Congress, October 17

The World's Largest Single-Breed Horse Show...more than 17,000 horse show entries...more than 8,500 registered American Quarter Horses during its three-week schedule. The Congress attracts more than 650,000 people to the Columbus area, bringing more than $110 million to the central Ohio economy.

I am honored to speak at Ohio Quarter Horse Congress on October 17th in a presentation on Western and Equestrian Artwork.

There will be four speakers total from four different branches of art - sculpting, painting, sketching and photography. The presentation will be during a wine and cheese reception in Stallion Alley.

Nadine was recently interviewed by a reported from both New York Style and Florida Style Magazine - look for an upcoming feature one or both...to be continued. Nadine's publiscist is currently featured in Florida Style.

Nadine has upcoming trip to Price Canyon Ranch in Southern Arizona for more cowboy shots. The ranch is now offering Nadine's pieces as exclusive note cards and giclee canvases featuring scenes from the property. Look for them in the lodge and gift shop!

The book is in progress - it will be a long road but she wants it to be just right!

Her nautical seascapes are now being used on private yachts... and she is currently working on several commissions.
