The Gazette: Photographer is a cowgirl at heart
Nadine is featured in both the Montgomery County and Frederick County Gazettes, in an article entitled "Photographer is a cowgirl at heart". An excerpt from the article: Her business. Photography by Nadine, has taken her to photo shoots out West where she'll spend several days on ranches."For me, it's got to be real and it's got to be right," she said.
One of her favorite photographs, and one that she said helped her realize that she has a knack for photography, is a piece she calls "Looking Out."
The photograph captures a moment between two children looking out a window at a ranch in Colorado. The adults were getting ready for dinner and VerStandig, who always carries her camera, saw the two children at the window.
"The room is sort of dark, but you can see outside is very light. You can see the kids a little bit more than a silhouette," she said. "The little girl is talking with the little boy."

Nadine's story and her wild west shots were featured in the Arts section of The Frederick News - Post. An archive version of the western photography article is available online, but we've posted the print version here as well - it's just that good. Nadine's first Book is Out! "The 21st Century Cowboy"
Nadine's first book, "The 21st Century Cowboy: A Photographic Look at Cowboys Over the Last 100 Years", will be available for early purchase on her ecommerce site starting October 10. Nadine's Western Photography Featured in "New York Style" Magazine
Nadine and her cowboy art photogrpahs are featured in the Fall 2008 issue of New York Style magazine. The story featuring horses at the watering hole, cowpokes on the fence, sunset through barbed wire and others can be viewed in the article which is available online.
