True West Magazine

    True West Magazine

August 10th, 2007

Three of Nadine’s photographs are featured in the September 2007 of True West Magazine, available now.  The article, entitled “Just Horsin’ Around”, spans pages 47 through 50.  Pages 49 and 50 are a great two page spread of one of Nadine’s pieces.

A great magazine, a great article, and great photography!

South Dakota Photo Shoot

Mount RushmoreSouth Dakota

August 10th, 2007

Next week, Nadine heads to South Dakota on a photography expedition.
First, in Deadwood, she will visit the ranch of a custom saddle maker and photographing his saddle shop and works in progress.  Even better, the saddle maker has buffalo on his ranch, so expect a rich array of buffalo photographs, too.

As an aside, the American Buffalo isn’t actually a buffalo at all, but a bison, distantly related to domestic cattle.  So Nadine will actually return with lots of great pictures of bison, but in fine American tradition, we will likely continue to call them buffalo anyway!

After Deadwood, Nadine will venture on to Rapid City, also in South Dakota, where she will participate in an artists’ photo shoot.  This one will feature working cowboys, stagecoaches, and chuck wagons.

Samples of all of this new work should be available in a few weeks on the Cowboys & Western gallery.

Western Canada

Western Canada

August 6th, 2007

Nadine is buried in new photographs! In mid-July, she traveled to Western Canada for about two weeks on a photographic expedition to explore and capture what she could of the expansive beauty of the Canadian Rockies and their environs. From mountains to lakes to sailboats, Nadine found ample material for her roving lens.

In addition, Nadine attended the world famous Calgary Stampede Rodeo in Calgary, Alberta. Horses, cowboys, and more provided ample photographic opportunity as well as the innate fun of such a huge event.

Now she has thousands of photographs to sort through, edit, and otherwise prepare. Expect to see many appear in the online galleries in the next few weeks.
