Next week, Nadine heads to South Dakota on a photography expedition.
First, in Deadwood, she will visit the ranch of a custom saddle maker and photographing his saddle shop and works in progress. Even better, the saddle maker has buffalo on his ranch, so expect a rich array of buffalo photographs, too.
As an aside, the American Buffalo isn’t actually a buffalo at all, but a bison, distantly related to domestic cattle. So Nadine will actually return with lots of great pictures of bison, but in fine American tradition, we will likely continue to call them buffalo anyway!
After Deadwood, Nadine will venture on to Rapid City, also in South Dakota, where she will participate in an artists’ photo shoot. This one will feature working cowboys, stagecoaches, and chuck wagons.
Samples of all of this new work should be available in a few weeks on the Cowboys & Western
gallery.
